I just had an interesting experience - a phone call about a treatment. I was asked some good questions about my years of experience, my charge per session, what level I currently practice.

Then came the zinger.

"Do you see auras clearly or not so clearly?"

To which I responded, "I do not practice as a professional psychic."

My would-be client said a polite thank you and promptly hung up on me.

I meet so many practitioners who consider themselves psychic because they practice Reiki. The two things can certainly go together - but I am not a psychic, and have no wish to become one. Once again I find myself frustrated at the expectation that I *must* be psychic or I am not a "good" Reiki practitioner.

Reiki is a simple practice, but no less profound for that. The practice does not need to be combined with anything else to make it more valid.

I am not able to see Auras usually. But while doing Reiki on someone many times I will see tendrils of white smoke or steam swirling up from the body and dissipating into the air. Sometimes its hundreds of them and sometimes its a few.

Is this the Aura that I'm seeing?
