No matter what the background, all Reiki courses should have a minimum of five elements in common. These elements are all rituals that are created to help Reiki practitioners develop structure and routine. The five elements that every student receives are: attunements or reiju, hand positions, the precepts, symbols and mantras (from Level 2 onward), and meditations and/or techniques.
