Fudô Myôô is the wrathful face of Dainichi Nyorai. Fudô Myôô is often depicted with flames (to consume passions), a sword in his right hand (to conquer and cut through ignorance, greed, anger and injustice), and a rope in his left hand (to bind demons). In esoteric Japanese Buddhism Fudô Myôô is connected to the mantra taught at Level 3 of the system of Reiki.
