The granddaughter of Hawayo Takata. She is a Reiki teacher and a trained psychologist. Phyllis Lei Furumoto is said to have apprenticed with her grandmother for a year and a half. She is also a founding member of The Reiki Alliance. The Reiki Alliance state they have honoured her with their ‘title of holder’ of the ‘Office of the Grandmaster’ and also called her the ‘lineage bearer’ of the system of Reiki.
