Beth Gray was a friend and teacher student of Hawayo Takata. In 1976, Beth Gray ordained Hawayo Takata as a minister on the basis of the spiritual nature of her teachings. Beth Gray founded a large Reiki center in the USA and Australia. She stopped practicing after experiencing a stroke in 1993, and died May 13, 2008.
