Hiroshi Doi claims that the Usui Reiki Ryôhô Gakkai also practice a version of this technique. Kaiji Tomita describes another version of this technique, using waka, in his book Reiki To Jinjutsu — Tomita Ryû Teate Ryôhô, published in 1933.
