Meiji Emperor (1852–1912)

The Meiji Emperor ruled Japan from 1867–1912. Mikao Usui, Toshihiro Eguchi (Mikao Usui’s friend and student), Kaiji Tomita and the Usui Reiki Ryôhô Gakkai used waka written by the Meiji Emperor in their teachings. This poetry was called gyosei.
