He completed Levels 1 and 2 with Hawayo Takata in Hawaii and while in Japan in 1950 received shinpiden from Chie Hayashi (Chûjirô Hayashi’s widow). He returned to Hawaii to teach the system of Reiki to students and died in 1980. This is stated by William Lee Rand.
