A person who receives a Reiki treatment from a Reiki practitioner. A Reiki client is not referred to as a patient as that would indicate that the client was sick, which is not necessarily the case. Using the word ‘patient’ is also suggestive of a quasi-medical environment that may inappropriately represent the treatment as diagnostic.
