Reiki LevelsThis is a featured page

There are three levels of training with the system of Reiki with some branches dividing these levels up.
Between each level students are required to practice the techniques and principles that they have been taught as preparation for moving forward to the next level.
In modern times the levels have varying names including degree or facet. In Japan, the three major levels are called shoden, okuden and shinpiden.
In the Usui Reiki Ryôhô Gakkai manual, called the Reiki Ryôhô Hikkei, Mikao Usui is quoted as saying about who he would accept at Level 2 as students, ‘I will teach it to people who have learned shoden (Level 1) and who are good students, [with] good conduct and enthusiasts [enthusiasm].’
