Someone who has completed Level 3 or shinpiden and is allowed to teach other people the system of Reiki. The title might not necessarily mean that this individual can guide you on your spiritual path or even understands the concept of Reiki. Some branches may only teach the attunement to their teacher students while others may offer an extensive training. The term Reiki Master is becoming less popular today as practitioners realize that it is not likely that one can master spiritual energy. One can teach about how to work with spiritual energy, however, and therefore the terms of either Reiki Master/Teacher or simply Reiki Teacher are gaining in popularity and use.
