Robertson, Arthur (?–2001)This is a featured page

He first studied with Hawayo Takata’s student, Virginia Samdahl in 1975, and then went on to study and work with another of Hawayo Takata’s students, Iris Ishikuro, in the early 1980s. He created Raku Kei Reiki. According to Robert Fueston, in a 1983 Raku Kei Reiki manual the non-traditional techniques taught included the breath of the fire dragon, the hui yin breath and the kanji hand mudras. This appears to be the first time that they had been used in connection with the system of Reiki. Arthur Robertson also worked with Master Frequency Plates with an antakharana inside. These additions to the system of Reiki have made a profound impact on how it is taught today. Many of the ‘Tibetan’-influenced branches have stemmed from Arthur Robertson’s teachings.
