(Japanese) Healing guide.
There are two Japanese healing guides that are known of. The first belongs within the Usui Reiki Ryôhô Gakkai’s larger manual called the Reiki Ryôhô Hikkei. The other is from a later date and was written by Chûjirô Hayashi for his students. They contain almost identical hand positions for treating specific illnesses. Due to their similarities it is believed that both were created by the doctor, Chûjirô Hayashi. He was originally a member of the Usui Reiki Ryôhô Gakkai who then went on to start his own organization in 1931.
The front cover of the second healing guide reads Ryôhô Shishin and explains that it had been set up for American distribution. The branch name on the cover is the Hayashi Reiki Kenkyû Kai (Hayashi Spiritual Energy Research Society). It also states that it is not for sale and is a copy of the original. The actual manual is written in Japanese.
Hawayo Takata is known to have handed it to a number of her students including Harue Kanemitsu. John Harvey Gray also received a copy from Alice Takata Furumoto, Hawayo Takata’s daughter.
