As the traditional mantras of the system of Reiki are considered as sacred by many, pseudonyms are used in The Reiki Sourcebook rather than the true mantras. The pseudonym for the second traditional mantra is the initials SHK.
The main modern characteristic of SHK is mental/emotional and it is spoken three times in conjunction with Symbol 2.
The main traditional characteristic is Harmony and the mantra is not necessarily used in conjunction with the symbol. The early teachings of Mikao Usui claim that SHK develops a Reiki practitioner’s link to the energy of Heaven.
