Chiyoko Yamaguchi was taught Levels 1 and 2 by Chûjirô Hayashi in 1938. She said that she learnt both shoden and okuden together over five consecutive days.
Many of her family members were Reiki practitioners and it was her uncle Sugano Wasaburo that taught her how to perform the attunement.
